A charity golf tournament in honour of a fundraiser who died saw more than £27,000 raised.

Two golf teams set about playing four rounds of golf in one day at four separate golf courses in north London on August 14, raising funds for the Mandy Fisher Foundation, set up in honour of a fundraiser who died of ovarian cancer in 2016.

The golf tournament was Mandy's idea, with funds going to Ovarian Cancer Research and the Alzheimer's Society, but the team behind her foundation have since added North London Hospice to the list.

The "birdies" team of female golfers and "blokes" team teed off at 5.30am at Finchley Golf Club before heading to Hendon Golf Club by 8.40am, Mill Hill Golf Club at 12.15pm and Dyrham Park at 4pm, with the fourth round coming to a close at around 7.30pm.

One of the organisers and "blokes" team member, Robert Gastman, said: "We could not have done this without the support of family and friends which has been phenomenal.

"We thank each and everyone of them for helping us keep Mandy's memory alive, whilst raising money for the charities she wished to support."

The "birdies" team consisted of Diana Rubin, Ruth Langdorf, Val Lemer, Julia Livingstone and Lindsay Blair, and the "blokes" team was of Ralph Kossman, Richard Weitzkorn, Johnny Lemer and Robert Gastman.

The teams then attended a cocktail party, sponsored by the private GP firm JDOC365, and held a raffle where prizes included golf lessons with golf pro Sam Little and cupcakes provided by Bonny Lemer.
