If you are still wondering whatever happened to Pong then a new museum exhibition is the answer to your questions.
A display on toys, games and gadgets from the 1970s onwards will open at the Elstree and Borehamwood Museum, 96 Shenley Road.
The exhibition will open next Tuesday to show the evolution of gaming from the low resolution single graphic retro games of the Atari and the primitive electronics of Simon Says to the later models of the Nintendo, Gameboy and Sega Megadrive.
As well as a focus on digital, the analogue toys of yesteryear will also be on display for guests to enjoy, such as dolls, board games and the iconic Rubik’s cube.
The festival was teased as volunteers held a stall at Families Day, on Sunday, July 2 as part of the Elstree and Borehamwood Civic Festival.
Families were encouraged to play with the toys on display at the stand on Meadow Park and were encouraged to come to the exhibition to carry on the fun and games.
Entry is free of charge and is open from midday to 6pm on Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday between 10am and 3pm.
