Landlords across the county have come together to combat homelessness.
Around 30 landlords met to discuss this and a variety of issues at the Landlords’ Forum, organised in conjunction with the National Landlords Association, in the Civic Offices, Elstree Way on Monday, June, 19.
The Homelessness Reduction Act, legislation which will come in next year to protect young people and families from being without a residence.
This law will mean more people will be eligible for support from councils and housing associations in the area if they are homeless.
Pest infestations will were also discussed an online letting agent Urban.co.uk gave a presentation about its products and services.
Hertsmere Borough Council are offering a private sector leasing scheme for homeowners in the borough in partnership with Genesis Housing Association.
