A burst water main in Whetstone may cause residents in Barnet a drop in their water supply.

The large 14” water main burst on Great North Road, Whetstone and was reported around 4am, with residents complaining of low water pressure or loss of supply.

Affinty Water said they have sent repair equipment to the site and traffic management has been put in place while investigations continue, though they believe those with an EN5 postcode should not have any problems with their water,

Their statement said: “We are aware that this burst water main has caused complications further along the network and customers from the N10 and N20 post codes are experiencing interruptions to their supply.

“Technicians are on site and operating valves along the network to try and resolve this problem.”
