A new appeal for witnesses of an elderly woman’s murder in Colindale has been launched by detectives.

Lea Adri-Soejoko, 80, was found dead inside a lock-up store on an allotment site in Sheaveshill Avenue, NW9 in the early hours of Tuesday, 28 February.

Police charged a 40-year-old man with murder on Sunday, 5 March, but are appealing for those who own allotments or who were visited the area on Monday, 27 February to come forward.

DCI Noel McHugh, said: "Any piece of information, however small, will help my team build a picture of events that tragic day."

A set of three house keys and a Morrisons’ loyalty card belonging to the victim remain missing.

DCI McHugh added: "Perhaps someone found them and picked them up, thinking to hand them into the police at some point. Maybe they're sitting in someone's home. If you have any information, please come forward."

A post-mortem which took place on Wednesday, 1 March at Northwick Park Hospital revealed the cause of death was ligature compression of the neck.

Police divers also searched Silk Stream in Colindale for further evidence, while officers continue to search the allotments.
