A holistic care and community centre has won the fourth “In Edgware We Care” competition, in partnership with the Times Series and The Broadwalk shopping centre.

The Shishukunj Bhavan, which promotes holistic activities for children, adults and the elderly in their centre, won £500 to spend at Robert Dyas in The Broadwalk centre.

The community centre received 256 votes through the Times Series, which is more than half of votes cast in the competition, and the prize was collected by Sonal Dave, the centre’s fundraising lead.

The Broadwalk centre manager Angela Brooks said: “We are delighted to have been able to present Sonal with this prize for the community centre.

“Situated in our very town, they host a number of fantastic activities for our local community - something we are very proud to support.”

The fifth round of the competition is now open for voting until Sunday, 30th April, with the winner receiving a £500 voucher from WHSmith within The Broadwalk centre.

All nominations should be submitted in writing to The Broadwalk’s In Edgware We Care Campaign, c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP or by emailing thebroadwalk@pmwcom.co.uk
