Good morning all. After Storm Doris caused widespread travel chaos yesterday, we are assessing the damage and ongoing delays still being felt today.

Weather:

The high winds of yesterday seem to be long gone. Things will start off relatively cold but a fine day will follow, with long sunny spells and any isolated wintry showers soon fading away.

Tube/train:

The effects of yesterday’s storm are still being felt on the travel network this morning.

London Midland services are running replacement bus services after overhead wires were damaged by a falling tree near Harpenden yesterday. Tickets are being accepted on local bus routes, including TfL buses between Edgware and Elstree/Borehamwood, all Uno buses including St Albans to Hatfield, Metroline routes 84 and 84a, and Arriva buses routes 300, 301 and 724.

There is a reduced service on Thameslink trains in Hertfordshire for the same reason. Services will be disrupted throughout the day.

Customers are advised to check before they travel using the National Rail Enquiries real-time journey planner.

Traffic:

A broken down van on the M25 anticlockwise between J25 for Enfield and J24 for Potters Bar has been causing delays this morning. All lanes are now reopened.
