A man has been charged in connection with the murder of a man who was stabbed in the neck during a street fight.

Joseph Olopo, of Colindale, was pronounced dead in hospital on Friday (February 17) after a fight broke out between a number of men in Heathfield Gardens, Brent Cross.

Jason De Sousa, of no fixed addressed, was arrested yesterday (February 22) and charged the following day with the murder of Joseph Olopo.

The 21-year-old will appear in custody at Hendon magistrates’ court today (February 23).

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder on Tuesday (February 21)

He has been bailed pending further enquires to a date in early March.

Previously two men, aged 20 and 17, were arrested near to the scene on suspicion of affray.

The 20-year-old man was later released on bail until a date in early March and the 17-year-old was released with no further action.
