The “best family pub in London” has reopened following the death of its beloved owner.

George Karageorgis, who owned the Clissold Arms in East Finchley, died in early January following a short illness, aged 57.

The pub has since reopened after a period of mourning and will celebrate with a soft launch following an ongoing redecoration of certain rooms.

Mr Karageorgis’ funeral was held at All Saints Church in Camden on January 21 and a wake was hosted at the Clissold Arms.

Events manager Sonia Pereira said: “We would like to thank all those who attended the funeral service, sent flower arrangements and their condolences or contributed to the charities Mind and Harrington.
