Mill Hill will be in ‘innamorato’ (in love) with the tastes of Italy once again as the Italian market makes its return to the town centre.

It will be open from 10am on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 March just outside the Santander bank and extending up the Broadway to Mill Hill Wines.

The market will once again feature a range of cheeses, pasta, wines, olives and a host of complementary street food dishes and accessories for a full, authentic market experience.

A new ‘Italia in Piazza’ store will source the best fresh produce from all over Italy including chillies from Calabria and pesto from Genova.

Most of the market’s cheeses will come from Lombardy, as will the torrone, or soft nougat.

Olives will come from a leading producer in Puglia, who uses traditional harvesting methods.

The market’s specialty products also include fresh pasta, cakes and biscuits, olive oil, cured meats, hot food and more.

Chair of Mill Hill neighbourhood forum John Gillett said: “This is just one of the many initiatives we have for Mill Hill to improve our town centre.

“Do come along and also let us have your ideas for developing Mill Hill.”

The Italian market is part of a calendar of visiting markets for Mill Hill, organised by the Mill Hill neighbourhood forum and Vibe Market, aiming to add vibrancy to the high street.
