Hendon’s RAF museum continues to prepare for its centenary celebrations by crafting a timeline of objects from the force’s history.
Celebrations will take place across 2018 once the planned new multi-million pound entrance and reception area are completed, along with a series of new exhibitions.

Around 100 objects, along with tactile models of RAF aircraft, will be used to represent the 100 years of RAF history through its stories and people.
Some of the items include technical equipment and personal items described by the museum as “from the mundane to the extraordinary”.
Currently, the museum is working to whittle down a list of 150 objects to a slimmer 100 as they cover a 10 metre-long table.
