The UK’s first multi-faith hospice has scored vital funding to continue providing its round-the-clock care from a Freemasons group.

North London Hospice, in Woodside Avenue, Finchley, has been providing palliative care for people of all faiths and communities since 1984.

In the latest round of charity grants to hospices across England and Wales, the Masonic Charitable Foundation has awarded more than £3,500 to the North London Hospice.

The hospice works across the communities of Enfield, Barnet and Haringey, proving specialist 24-hour care to the individual needs of patients, helping them to live life to the full.

Charity steward Tony Shields said: “Every year Freemasonry supports every hospice in England and Wales with a charity donation.

“Since 1984 we have donated over 12 million pounds to support the Hospice support.

“I am particularly proud of our members across the London based lodges who give so much of their time and money to support those in real need.”

North London Hospice is committed to providing the palliative and end of life care and support for patients and families living with a life limiting illness.
