A weather warning of snow has been issued for London and people are urged to take extra care.

According to the Met Office, a band of wintry “showers” will pass over the city at the end of this week, and temperatures will drop to four or five °C.

A weather forecaster has warned that Thursday evening will be “particularly unpleasant” and commuters could face a longer and colder journey home during rush hour.

It will replace the mild weather with a very cold chill.

The UK could see freezing storms bring 2-4 inches of snow from Friday.
