A Strictly Come Dancing quarter-finalist and TV judge has sentenced himself to keeping fit in 2017 in aid of a hospice charity.

Yes-I-Canuary is a month-long campaign by Noah’s Ark children’s hospice, based in High Barnet, encouraging people to take part in fitness-related fundraising events.

Rob Rinder, host of popular ITV show Judge Rinder, is spearheading the campaign as he is known for his extensive fitness regime and Strictly success.

The criminal law barrister, from Borehamwood, said: “It is time to work off that Christmas pud people. Lose those festive pounds to raise vital pounds for Noah’s Ark - it's time for six packs not six pints.

“I deeply admire the work Noah’s Ark does for families across central and north London.

“Every penny you raise will be put to good work and help make a real difference.

“So if your New Year’s resolutions include improving your fitness or starting an exercise programme, get your marathon or cycle place or ticket to a terrifying challenge like a sky dive via Noah’s Ark.

“There are activities available whatever your level of fitness or experience.”

Noah’s Ark specialises in “hospice at home” care, crafting bespoke care packages for each patient’s and family’s needs.
