A nursery has been featured in the annual report of her Majesty’s chief inspector of education, child’s service and skills 2015/2016.
Fairytales Day Nursery, in Sullivan Way, Elstree, was given an outstanding report by the independent watchdog Ofsted last year.
Now it has been featured in this list of different schools across the country for their teaching and “exceptional activities”.
Kelly Kingshott, manager of the nursery, said: “We are absolutely honoured with such esteemed recognition of our day nursery.
“We feel so proud and fortunate to work with such a great team, wonderful families and their precious children. A huge thank you to everyone.”
In the report it says the staff in the nursery room create exceptional activities that build on children’s engagement with stories.
The staff also plan meticulously and ensure that science experiment also maximise the opportunities for development in math, the report revealed.
The chief inspector also found the pre-school children show advanced confidence and competence and write captions for their displays.
They also demonstrate knowledge of space and planets having investigated a solar eclipse.
