More than 80 farmers pulled together to raise money for a friend who has terminal lung cancer.

Scott Brenson, from Crossoaks Farm, has worked AT Bone & Sons for 27 years and has supplied machinery and agricultural products to farmers across the country.

He was diagnosed with cancer around 18 months ago and decided to hold a tractor run to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.

The event, that was held on October 16 - the same day as his 47th birthday - raised more than £13,000 and saw 80 vintage tractors ploughing around Borehamwood Hatfield House Park, and Potters Bar.

Russell Bone, co-owner of AT Bones & Son, said: “A tremendous day was had by all who attended Scott’s tractor run.

“Despite the weather more than 80 tractors turned up, providing an incredible and unusual sight for all who witnessed it.

“More importantly Scott was able to have a wonderful birthday driving his own vintage Massey Ferguson tractor around the route. We are really grateful to everyone for supporting the event.”
