A family is “devastated” their cat has gone missing just after it has moved to a new home.

Chelsea, a six-year-old tabby cat, moved to a house in Elvington Lane, Burnt Oak when the Mann family thought she would be happy with their family friends four weeks ago.

Last Tuesday (October 11) she left the house and has not been seen since, which has triggered a search party led by the Mann family.

Nicola Mann and her family live in Cricklewood where they cared for Chelsea for years.

She said: “It’s really upset everyone in both homes, we don’t want people to think we can’t look after our cat because we all love Chelsea so much.

“We are asking anyone who can help to do so – if you have seen Chelsea or heard anything about a cat in the area we would love to hear from you.”

Nicola’s son Nathan contacted the Times Series asking for help with the search.

He said: “We've put up missing posters in the area but so far she hasn't been found.

“She's very shy and might be hiding in a garage somewhere, or she could be trying to make her way back to her old home in Cricklewood.”

Chelsea is microchipped and was wearing a pink collar when she went missing.
