A group of travellers who moved into a former police station are still on site.
The travellers had settled in at the old police station in Elstree Way, Borehamwood, on October 11.
Police are aware of the travellers site and are liaising with the landowner and authorities to find a long term solution.
A social media user, who contacted the Times Series and wished to stay anonymous, said: "The old police station has recently been broken into by travellers.
"I saw 20 odd caravans and vans drive in and lock the door. Police are aware but I think it will take them some time to remove the travellers."

The travellers have placed a notice in the window stating they now live on the land and police cannot remove them.
The letter reads: "This site has been occupied. It is our home and we intend to stay here."
There is even a warning to police officers saying to remove them from the land 'cannot be exercised where the land compromises or is ancillary to buildings which includes any building or moveable structure'.
Neighbouring businesses, despite witnessing the travellers move on the land, have said they have not been causing any problems.
