Police have launched a campaign to remove knives from the streets - after a 16-year-old was stabbed in the leg.

Special bins have been set up where knives can be dumped without fear of action being taken by Hertfordshire Constabulary.

The one-week amnesty comes after a 16-year-old was stabbed after a fight in Lower High Street on Saturday.

If you have a knife in your possession that you do not want or should not have, and would like to surrender it, you can bring it to one of the following police stations: Watford, Hatfield or Stevenage.

During the amnesty you can surrender knives anonymously by placing them in the knife bins located with the station reception areas.
