The Night Tube is coming to Barnet as Sadiq Khan announces the 24-hour service’s start date on the Northern line.

Barnet is served by 13 underground stations on the line, terminating at Edgware and High Barnet on the two branches.

As the Jubilee line joins the Victoria and Central lines on the Night Tube tonight (October 7), the Mayor of London announced the Northern line’s turn will come on Friday November 18.

The service will run through the night on Fridays and Saturdays, with trains every 10-20 minutes.

Later in the autumn, the Piccadilly Line will join the service once drivers have completed training.

Around 200,000 passengers are expected to use the Night Tube when all five lines are operational.

Transport for London predicts the service will cut journey times by an average of 20 minutes, benefiting people who previously used buses to travel in the early hours of the morning.

A 24-hour Northern line will connect Barnet directly to central London, with key attractions including Camden Town, Oxford Street via Tottenham Court Road and the South Bank via Waterloo.
