A children’s charity has donated a specially designed sunshine coach for primary pupils with autism.

The coach was presented to Childs Hill Primary School in Dersingham Road by Variety, a charity which raises money for disabled and disadvantage children.

The donation was sponsored by St. James’s Place Foundation, and the coach will be used will be used to take the children on a number of educational and social trips.

Childs Hill Primary School is a mainstream school which also provides education for pupils who have severe autism spectrum disorders.

Head Teacher of Childs Hill Primary School Dan Hawkins, said: “We are hugely grateful for the donation of the specialised Sunshine Coach from Variety and the Foundation.

"This donation means a great deal to the children of the school. The Sunshine Coach will enable them to experience the same opportunities as their class mates.”
