A woman is demanding a refund after she says she was unable to stay at a hotel due to the state of the room.

Emma Hill, 29, from Coventry, visited the Elstree Inn in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, to watch the live eviction of Celebrity Big Brother in Elstree Studios on Wednesday, August 10.

After returning to the hotel, Miss Hill was disgusted to find the room had been left in an unclean and unsanitary condition.

She said: “The room was absolutely disgusting. We could not stay there.

"My partner has bowel cancer and his immune system is bad. We had to go back to Coventry that night because of the state of the room.

“My partner should not have been travelling that much but there was no other choice.”

Miss Hill’s partner has to use a stoma bag but because of the condition of the toilet he was unable to change it.

A stoma bag diverts your faeces or urine into a pouch (bag) on the outside of your body.

Miss Hill has asked for a full refund but is yet to receive anything back from the inn and she said she is being ignored by the owners.

She said: “I want him to feel as disgusting as we felt being in that room. I just feel like I was robbed.

“It is only £61 but that is money I do not have anymore and cannot afford to not have it back.

“I just want a refund. I would not let my dogs stay in that room. It was disgusting.

“I sent the pictures to the owner of the inn and he has ignored my messages and blocked my number.”

The Times Series could not contact the hotel’s management at the time of going to press spoke to Elstree Inn but was told all the managerial staff were away from the hotel.
