MEMBERS of the Barnet Education Employment and Training Support team (BEETS) is offering career advice to young people across the borough.
Staff will be available to advise on reaming in education, applying for an apprenticeship or traineeship and getting or job or help becoming self-employed or volunteering.
A free careers fair will take place in Chipping Barnet library, in Stapylton Road, this Friday (August 26) from 2pm.
Young people can meet with representatives from colleges, training providers and employers.
Deputy Leader of Barnet Council, Councillor Dan Thomas, said: “With A-level results released last week and GCSE results coming out this week we know now is the time our young people will seriously be considering all their future career options, so it’s important we help them by providing guidance and advice on any questions and concerns they may have.
“I strongly encourage young people and their parents to visit the BEETS drop in session, or contact the team to find out more about how they can help you find your way towards a rewarding career path.”
