A CHELSEA football idol visited a school in East Barnet to teach young kickers a few tricks of the trade.
Pupils from St Mary’s primary school, in Littlegrove, won a competition organised by collectibles company Topps by collecting over 24,500 football trading cards.
The prize for the Club Together competition winners from years five and six was a group training session with Chelsea winger Eden Hazard at Surrey Sports Park.
Players from the school’s under-11s football team also won football kits and the chance to ask Eden about his experiences as a Premier League footballer.
Assistant coach at St Mary’s School Richard Wells said: “Every young football fan at one point in their life dreams of becoming a professional footballer.
“It was heart-warming today to see the kids hanging on Eden Hazard’s every word.
“Days like today are great morale boosters to show these children that anything is possible.”
St Mary’s beat over 1,000 other competing teams to win the final Club Together prize.
