Southampton manager Claude Puel felt his side should have beaten Watford after their 1-1 draw at St Mary's this afternoon.
The Saints trailed at the break but equalised through Nathan Redmond and were the more dangerous team as they failed to earn a winner against ten-man Watford.
Southampton had 24 shots during the game while the Hornets scored from their only effort on target which left the Frenchman frustrated.
Puel said: "I feel just disappointment because I think this afternoon we lost two points. We can see a good second half in many situations but the first half for me was not good.
"We had bad situations and didn't play in the first half with the qualities of my players. It was better in the second half and I like the reaction of my players."
The new Saints boss added: "In the second half you could see one team in defence and one in attack."
