Cyclists riding inconsiderately are causing problems for residents.
Across Borehamwood and Bushey cyclists are doing wheelies, cuttings cars and driving very slowly down the main roads.
The problem has become so bad in these areas that it has become one of the neighbourhood priorities.
Claire Morris, from the Hertsmere community safety unit said: “We have had a number of calls about this problem and we want to show residents that we are listening and we will take action – but we need your help.
“It is an offence under section 27 and 28 road traffic act 1988 and whilst some tickets have been issued we need to know the full extent of the problem so we can deal with it robustly for the safety of the residents and the cyclists themselves.”
The groups of young people in Borehamwood tend to be aged under 16 and the group of young people in Bushey tend to be aged over 16.
Anyone with information should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101.
