A man has organised a “bigger and better” event for this year’s Radlett Festival.

After Paul Howard, 42, from Crosspath in Radlett, was too late to raise a committee for the Radlett Festival last year, he decided to bring back the event this year.

This year the festival has more than 50 stalls including a climbing wall run by a Scout group and a dog arena.

Mr Howard said: “We have a great group of people working on the committee this year.

“In 2014 I said it was going to be the last year because I did not want to ruin the memories I had.

“For years the festival had been going downhill but in 2014 it was a great year and I knew I had to do it again.

“We were not able to organise a committee for 2015. Now the festival is coming back this weekend and it is a lot better this year.

“I do not know how to beat this one next year though. This year is looking really good.”

There will be a number of food stalls as well, including Mexican and Jewish food and the Watling Ale Brewery will be selling its locally-brewed ale through the Festival.

Elsa, Olaf and Anna from Frozen will be opening the festival with MP for Hertsmere Oliver Dowden and there will be prizes given for the first few people who enter the festival.

Raffle prizes include a signed Arsenal football, signed Spurs memorabilia and the chance to train at Pinewood Studios as a TV presenter.

The event will run from 11 to 5pm on Sunday, June 26.
