Two men who started a fight outside a pub with a baseball bat and hockey stick have been charged.
On Sunday June 11, at 11.50pm two men hit two people outside The Alfred Arms, in Shenley Road, in Borehamwood.
One man aged in his 50s suffered a deep cut to his left arm.
The two men then left in a vehicle which was later stopped by police and the men were arrested.
Benjamin Dawson, 33, of Borehamwood, has been charged with affray, possession of an offensive weapon, dangerous driving, driving without a licence and without insurance.
He pleaded guilty to all charges at Hatfield Remand Court and has been remanded for sentencing on July 11 at St Albans Crown Court.
Paul Hayward, 37, of Borehamwood, has been charged with affray, possession of an offensive weapon, driving without a licence and no insurance.
He is due to appear at St Albans Magistrates Court on June 28.
Chief Inspector for Hertsmere Steve O’Keeffe said: “I want to make it clear that violence in our community is totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
“My officers have established an effective working relationship with local licenced premises and we will work together to deal robustly with offenders.”
