A UK independent film financier has announced it is to sponsor Boreham Wood Football Club in the 2016/2017 season for the first time.

Red Rock Entertainment, based in Elstree Studios, Borehamwood, has signed a deal that will see its brand on a stadium board and as the lead sponsor on the match day report.

As the club enters its second season in the National League the film company staff and clients will be able to enjoy corporate hospitality on match day.

Gary Collins, CEO of Red Rock Entertainment, said: “As an entertainment finance company we are hugely proud to operate from a location that holds such iconic status as that of Elstree and its surrounding area.

“Investing in our local community and its football team is integral to our company culture and a logical step as we expand and diversify our offering.

“At Red Rock we have also had an amazing season and with Boreham Wood FC staying in the National League there is a natural affinity between us and we cannot wait to get on the terrace to get behind the lads.”

The sponsorship will last for a year and Mandee Morris, commercial manager of the Boreham Wood FC, said they are delighted the company wanted to come on board.

She said: “Our status in the National Premier League means we can provide them with the commercial visibility they are looking for.

“We are always looking at ways to build partnerships with local companies and Red Rock Entertainment and Boreham Wood FC look like a great fit.”
