An elderly man who uses a disabled badge was left confused after a sign in a car park revealed he had to register his badge with them.
Robert Benson, 74, of Stapleton Road, in Borehamwood, was visiting the Boulevard Shopping Park off Theobald Street when he noticed a new sign which had appeared near the entrance to the car park.
According to Mr Benson the sign said blue badge users had to register their badge with Highview Parking - the new managing company in charge of the car park.
Mr Benson contacted the company who informed him that the sign is incorrect and he did not need to register with them.
He said: "It is unnecessary and a complete waste of my time. I am angry and confused.
"I had to park in a normal bay because I did not want to risk it. I registered with them anyway just in case it changes in the future.
"I was not aware the sign had been put there. I should think it has happened to others."
Mr Benson visited the shopping park on yesterday (April 14) and it was the first time he had been there for a while and he was unaware of the new parking restrictions made by Highview Parking.
Highview Parking took over the management of the car park from Parking Eye and the new owners are offering three hours maximum stay with no return within four hours.
Have you been caught out by the new parking regulations?
