Borehamwood and Elstree Labour Party celebrated Chanukah with a special visit from Labour’s shadow minister for mental health Luciana Berger MP.
On Tuesday December 8, Mrs Berger was met by councillors Michelle Vince and Richard Butler at Allum Lane Hall, in Borehamwood.
Mrs Berger gave a speech about the work she is currently carrying out as a shadow minister and then took questions from the meeting.
Cllr Butler said: “The message was clear from Luciana that we will hold the Government to account and show what is really happening within our mental health services.”
The important meeting was well-attended by members of the party but also non-members were welcome to attend.
Labour Party member Rebecca Schapira said: “She is a real champion of the vital services our communities most desperately need to tackle mental health issues.”
