The Royal British Legion branch in Borehamwood will be celebrating the festive season with a Christmas dinner for members.
On Saturday, December 12, members of the branch and the women’s section are invited to join others as they celebrate the festive season.
The evening will also include a raffle and entertainment from professional cabaret group The Tootsie Rollers.
Fred Grimes, 65, chairman of the Royal British Legion Borehamwood branch, said: “The menu consists of a traditional Christmas dinner with soup, turkey, ham and pigs in blankets.
“Plus there will be Christmas puddings and a selection of mince pies.
“The money raised from the raffle tickets will be donated to the Poppy Appeal and the winning ticket will be drawn between 10pm and 10.30pm.
“There will also be a frozen meat hamper draw which is being donated by the Sainsbury’s depot in Borehamwood.”
Entry for this event is only by ticket which cost £20 for members and £40 for non-members and it will be held at the Legion Memorial Hall on Shenley Road.
Tickets will be on sale until December 8 and can be bought at the hall or from Mr Grimes by calling 07956 418903.
