A group of students are campaigning for clearer labelling on food products as part of their assessment.
Year 10 pupils from Hertswood Academy in Borehamwood are aiming to see a change in the law on food labels to ensure that people know what is in their food.
Hertsmere MP Oliver Dowden visited the school to talk to the students about their campaign.
He said: “It was good to be back at Hertswood Academy today, meeting Year 10 students who are campaigning for clearer labelling on food products as part of their assessment.
“I heard their excellent presentation and we discussed what we can do locally and nationally about food labelling, obesity and healthy eating.
“I will be writing to the Education and Health Secretary about the issues students raised.”
