A BREAST cancer survivor dazzled the crowds as she took to the stage for a charity catwalk.

Personal assistant Debbie Baxter from Pinner proved you can look and feel fabulous after a breast cancer diagnosis as she took to the catwalk for Breast Cancer Care’s London fashion show On Wednesday, October 7.

The 54-year-old, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, was one of 31 models who took to the catwalk hosted by Breast Cancer Care.

The models each had four outfits, which had been handpicked for them by award-winning fashion director Hilary Alexander OBE.

There were two shows during day, with Penny Smith hosting the afternoon show while celebrity couple Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes took on the task for the evening.

Debbie said: “The Breast Cancer Care Fashion show has been such a wonderful experience, from start to finish I was made to feel like a super star.

“Being on the catwalk was nerve-wracking, but so much fun, the clothes, the make-up, the hair and the atmosphere was electric.

“Having my friends and family in the audience also made everything even more special, I could hear them clapping and shouting for me every time I hit the runway.

“It was simply the best night, I am so proud to have been involved and thrilled to see how much money has been raised for such an important charity.”

A whole host of celebrities cheered Debbie and her fellow models on, including Andrea McLean, Denise Lewis, Geri Horner, Jo Wood, Lisa Snowdon, Penny Lancaster, Michelle Heaton and Vanessa Feltz.

As well as the catwalk show, the day included performances from The Overtones, Darius Campbell, Andrea Faustini and Jack Pack.

The events, which took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, was part of this October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and will raise money for Breast Cancer Care enabling them to support people living with breast cancer from day one.
