IT will be ‘auf wiedersehen’ Borehamwood when a group of people head to Germany to build bridges with the village’s twin town.
A delegation of people from Borehamwood and Elstree Twin Town Society (BETTA) will head over to Offenburg.
This year, they will be joined by Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council Mayor, Richard Butler.
They will be in the city between September 25 and 27 when an annual wine, music and entertainment festival is held.
Martine Eni, chairman of BETTA, said: ˜It is the first time the association has organised a visit to this festival.
“Our hope is that the group will be able to enjoy this annual event, which is held in high esteem by the local community in Offenburg.
˜We are grateful for our colleagues in Offenburg, and the members of the Die Brucke management team who have made this visit possible.”
During the trip, they will also visit a local vineyard.
Borehamwood and Elstree Twin Town Association fosters links between the two twin towns – which also includes Fontenay-aux-Roses near Paris.
Die Bracke is BETTA’s German counterpart.
