The CEO of an Elstree-based digital agency is one of ten finalists for a prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Danny Bluestone, CEO and founder of leading creative agency Cyber-Duck, will now go up against other finalists and deliver a live presentation to expert judges in a bid to win the title.

The Smith & Williamson Entrepreneur of the Year award is one of 18 categories in the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards 2015.

Mr Bluestone said: "I’m delighted to be selected as a finalist for the Smith & Williamson Entrepreneur of the Year.

“I have always been a team-worker and got on with people and that has been a hugely important skill, to never to put yourself above others but be on the same playing field and move away from a traditional employee model."

He explained that he self-nominated to get recognition for the fantastic work his company have done, since he believes that digital agency work is challenging and often undervalued.

Other finalists include a pharmaceutical company, a sustainable building contractor, and an insurance firm for learner drivers.

They will be judged on their company’s growth and financial performance achieved through innovation and talent development from visionary leadership.

Cyber-Duck, based in Elstree House, has been running for ten years.

It offers creative, technical and marketing services to start-ups and global brands, including Cancer Research Technology and Arsenal FC.

According to Mr Bluestone, entrepreneurship is always a test of quality.

He said: "It doesn’t matter the business you are in, if you are not doing something of a high standard there is no point.

"You can’t put financial profit at the forefront; people who are money-oriented tend not to do well, that should be a secondary goal."

Cyber-Duck has previously won other industry awards, and been featured in The Drum’s list of top agencies.

The winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year award will be revealed at a gala dinner on November 10 at Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London.
