Cash is available to help community and voluntary groups celebrate Older People’s Day and Silver Sunday this October.
Whether it’s for tea dances or arts and crafts classes, organisations can apply to Hertsmere council for grants of up to £300.
Councillor Brenda Batten, cabinet member for leisure, culture and health, said: "This is a great new initiative to try to promote Older People’s Day and Silver Sunday. With these grants hopefully local organisations will be able to put on successful events that older people in our communities will enjoy and benefit from."
Older People's Day will take place on October 1 and Silver Sunday on October 4.
The deadline for applications is September 4 and the online form can be found here.
