A man will be cutting it fine when he lets an eccentric television personality shave his head all in the name of charity.

Paul Clark, a studio manager at Elstree Studios, in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, will go for the chop – but in an unusual twist, it will be X-Factor star Rylan Clark holding the shears.

The pair, who are no relation, are no stranger to crazy charity challenges – last year, brave Paul let Rylan throw a bucket of ice over his head for the famous ice bucket challenge.

Paul, 62, has already raised £1,385 for Macmillan Cancer and Cherry Lodge Cancer Care in just over a week.

He said: “My hair isn’t that long – it’s an old man’s head of hair I suppose. It’s enough to make a difference in the rain or sun.

“Rylan is a really, really nice guy – so down to earth and he’s a real people person, so I’m not nervous about letting him shave my head. We are good friends.”

Mr Clark has been working for Elstree Studios since 1996.

Brave the Shave is a national event where thousands of people from across the country shave their heads and show their support for men and women with cancer who have lost their hair.

So far, nearly 14,000 people have raised £574,087 for the cause.

Rylan shot to fame after being featured on X-Factor, where judge Simon Cowell said he loved him – but not his voice.
