A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after being stopped by police and a sniffer dog.
Officers stopped the man while he was driving a Renault Clio in Theobald Street, Borehamwood at about 1pm today.
Police dog Boomer and his handler searched the vehicle, and found several items suspected to be class A drugs.
The man, from Felixstowe, was taken to a police station where he remains in custody. The items will be examined to identify them.
Sergeant Vicky Stoughton from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Dog Unit said: “Our dogs are chosen specifically for their excellent sense of smell, agility and temperament. These attributes make them ideally suited to assist their handlers and other officers at numerous types of incidents.”
