A burglar who was due to be jailed for 21 months is wanted by police after making off from court before being sentenced.

Martin Brophy, of Colin Road, Willesden, was last seen in the communal area of Harrow Crown Court on Thursday, June 18, as he was waiting for the court to reconvene.

The 36-year-old had earlier been found guilty of a burglary in Wembley in October 2014, with the verdict having been delivered in his absence as he returned late to the court.

At the time he was due to receive 21 months' imprisonment, but Brophy made off from the court before sentencing.

He is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build with short dark brown hair, and is believed to drive a three-wheeled Yamaha 125 Tricity scooter.

If seen, people are advised to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers.
