Sweet toothed children honed their sugar sprinkling skills when they were taught how to bake cakes.
Pupils from Hertsmere Jewish Primary School, in Radlett, were invited to the Michael Sobell Community Centre, in Golders Green, for Jewish Care’s national Bake Day.
They built bridges with elderly people from two of the charity’s care homes – Selig Court, in Golders Green Road, and Otto Schiff, in Limes Avenue, Brent Cross.
Rachel Rachel, who owns Cakes by RachelRachel, in Elstree, taught them how to whip up the perfect batter.
Students from Jcoss School, in Castlewood Road, New Barnet, watched their cakes rise at the Connet@ Centre, in Southgate, while children from Nagila Nursery baked at the Edgware and Harrow Day Centre.
Chava Cupcake, the giant cupcake Bake Day mascot, also made an appearance.
