A dog was stolen from a car boot sale in Aldenham at the weekend.

The black Chihuahua was stolen in Aldenham Country Park in Dagger Lane at 12.30pm on Sunday, May 24.

A woman in her 30s was at a car boot sale when she was approached by two boys. One distracted her while the other stole her dog, which was tethered to her car.

The boys were then seen running towards Elstree Road.

Both of them are described as white, of slim build and aged between seven and nine. Police believe one of them had an Irish accent.

The dog is a male black Chihuahua with beige and white marks. He is five years old and is called Yoda.

Anyone with any information or who is offered the dog for sale should contact the police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
