The roof of a house was engulfed in flames after what was believed to be a lightning strike.
Firefighters were called to Norman Crescent, Pinner, at 1.36pm this afternoon, where the roof of a semi-detached house was on fire.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers from Harrow, Ruislip, Northolt and Stanmore fire stations attended the incident, which was brought under control at 3.11pm.
Half of the first floor and roof of the house was gutted by the flames.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage, but is believed to be a lightning strike.
