The family of a man killed in his home said they will ‘not shed a single tear’ following the sentencing of his murderers.

Three men appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday, where they were convicted of the murder of 31-year-old Warren Ramdeen on Monday, March 30.

Riche Hugh Campbell, 18, of Pinner Green, Pinner was jailed for a minimum of 17 years.

Idris Abdulle, 17, of Northolt, will spend a minimum of 16 years behind bars.

And Shomarni Mkini, 16, of no fixed address, was jailed for a minimum of 17 years.

A statement issued on behalf of the Ramdeen family said: “Warren’s memory shines brightly in our thoughts, and we will forever remember the wonderful times we shared, and a piece of him will shine eternally in all of us just like his smile.

“This verdict and sentencing today gives us some comfort knowing the perpetrators will have to suffer and realise that life is for living and not for taking and will have plenty of time to ponder their mistakes, and let them be assured that everyone connected with Warren and our families will not shed a single tear over their demise.”

The court heard that shortly before 7pm on Friday, October 3, last year, the three defendants entered Churchill Court in Newmarket Avenue, Northolt, where Mr Ramdeen, a vulnerable man who suffered from mental health problems, lived on the tenth floor.

Although the motive for the murder is not clear, it is believed the teenagers took advantage of Mr Ramdeen and used his flat for drug dealing.

The teenagers went in and out of the block several times that evening before a disturbance was heard at around 11.30pm in the flat.

CCTV footage showed the defendants leaving the flats.

A man who was staying with Mr Ramdeen returned to the flat at around 4am and found blood in the hallway and on the door before his body lying face-down on a mattress.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and a post-mortem examination gave cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.
