Patients are invited to attend a meeting to find out about a medical centre that was closed due to bankruptcy earlier this year.

The Wasu Medical centre, in Kings Road, in Rayners Lane, was closed to the public in January after bankruptcy proceedings began against its senior doctor, Dr Paramjit Wasu.

Patients received a letter dated January 30 from David Sturgeon – the head of primary care for South London – which said there was no option but to terminate all Dr Wasu's patient contracts.

However now staff at the practice say the NHS closed the centre unlawfully, and are seeking to have it reopened.

Former patients are now being asked to attend a meeting about the closure, which will be held on Monday, May 18 at 7pm at the Beacon Centre, in Scott Crescent, South Harrow.
