HAVING the pleasure to work in York every day, I have come across a community spirit I have not seen in many a year.
This being in Bishy Road, situated in the lovely city of York.
So I have penned a little rhyme to give a massive pat on the back to such wonderful people: I Love Bishy Road, with its bunting festooned across the street.
Lots of shops and cafés, where you can get something nice to eat.
A community spirit is embraced, the likes of, not seen these days.
Street parties and charity events, in the local traditional ways.
There’s a buzz about Bishy Road, and if you’ve not been there before, you will feel it and caress it, and certainly go back for more.
They proudly display their banner like a Desperate Dan tattoo.
The warmth that Bishy Road portrays absolutely comes shining through.
Bishy Road is not simply a street, but a wonderful community in York, one that you should encounter and along it take a walk.
