People will step back in time as they celebrate Victory in Europe Day in Borehamwood.
Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council and the Woodcock Hill Village Green Society have organised a picnic at the Woodcock Hill Village Green, in Borehamwood, on Saturday, May 9.
VE Day marks the unconditional surrender of Nazi forces in 1945, ending the Second World War in Europe.
Borehamwood Brass Band will play from 4pm and a children’s entertainer will start at 5pm.
Alex Melson, a member of the village green society, will lead an environmental exploration bug hunt.
