Young authors can win £500 worth of books for their school in a writing competition.
Children aged five to 14 can enter the seventh National Young Writers’ Awards by writing a 500-word story on the theme of ‘strange events and peculiar happenings’.
The closing date is June 5, and entries will be judged by Jonathan Meres, author of the World of Norm series.
