A Labour frontbencher told voters not to ‘suffer’ another Tory MP as he handed out leaflets.
Shadow Home Office minister Steve Reed visited Harrow East this week in support of Labour candidate Uma Kumaran’s campaign.
Mr Reed went on the doorstep with campaigners and talked to home owners about how a Labour government would benefit Harrow.
He told residents that voting Labour was the only way to ensure the borough didn’t "suffer" a Tory MP for another five years.
Ms Kumaran said: “It was great that Steve helped out with our doorknocking today and had the chance to meet some of Harrow’s local residents.
“Over the next three weeks, I’ll be aiming to speak to as many residents as possible and hear about the real issues affecting our borough.
“The campaign is building momentum and it’s been great having such hands-on support from much of the Labour front bench.”
