A senior council officer has resigned to move back to the country.
Harrow Council’s director of finance Simon George, who came to the borough from Ealing Council, has handed his resignation in after two years to move back to his home county of Norfolk.
The news comes just weeks after the previous head of paid service Paul Najsarek tendered his resignation.
Mr George said: “I have been at Harrow Council for two years and I have enjoyed my time working here.
“An opportunity has arisen for me to move back to my home county of Norfolk as finance director of the county council, which is a great opportunity for me and my family.
“I wish all of my colleagues and friends the best for the future.”
The process for appointing a new finance director will begin shortly.
